World Water Day
What Is Project 24?
World Water Day is held every year on March 22nd to raise awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water.
Aligning with this important event, Planet Water Foundation has developed “Project 24” a key activation to make a focused impact during this period, where together with our supporters, we provide life-changing access to clean, safe drinking water to impoverished communities around the world.
Project 24 2022 will be taking place from March 1st through until World Water Day on March 22nd.
Life-Changing Impact
Clean, safe drinking water
As party of our Project 24 activities, all recipient communities receive clean, safe drinking water through the installation of Planet Water’s AquaTower water filtration system, which can provide enough water to meet the daily drinking water requirements of up to 1,800 people.
Capability to sanitize to WHO standards
The AquaSan surface disinfection system is included in all Project 24 projects and provides recipient communities with the capability to sanitize the school environment to WHO standards.
Hygiene Education to drive long-term behaviour change
Planet Water’s Water-health and Hygiene Education Program provides children in recipient schools with lasting knowledge to transform their wellbeing.
